Let Freedom...uh...lemme see here...Well, let it do something, anyway...

 
So, this is the note that our man Bush got today regarding the Iraqi power
turnover, and yes, that writing is from W himself. One of only 43 men in
America's history to be elected to the office of President. He also seems to
not be able to get anything right regarding history, words, or current
events (see Abu-Garaif, Amir.uh.Whatshisname, and everyone's favorite,
strategery) correct.

 The funny thing about this particular quote is that, a) it's a blatant
misquote of MLK Jr., b) the misquote definitely puts a very imperialistic
bent on "freedom", and c) it was not only captured for a photo op in spite
of this, but the people at CNN thought that it would make a good front
picture. God bless America.

Now, after laughing about Bush's idiocy, just for turds and guffaws, I tried
searching for "let freedom reign" - and guess what? 90% of the sites that
came back were right-wing, NASCAR-dad oriented sites. Lots of Eagles, flags,
mullets, etc.Just thought it was kinda funny that something that is a
blatant mistake to one familiar, even vaguely, with the civil rights
movement, becomes a rallying cry for those who fought against it.
