FBI names new top agent in Albany 7/17/2004 11:52 AM By: Capital News 9 web staff The FBI has named a new top agent for eastern New York state and Vermont. William Chase, who oversaw programs against organized crime, drugs and violent crime in Boston, is the new agent in charge in Albany. Chase, a 47-year-old Massachusetts native with a law degree, joined the agency in 1983. He will supervise 80 agents in a region from Albany to Binghamton, Syracuse, Kingston and Plattsburgh, as well as agents in Burlington and Rutland, Vermont.
