Getting Patriotic for all the Right Reasons

Greetings fellow Americans -
    
    I come to you today to enlist your support of our country in perhaps
the most important international event in our country's history. America
has set an example that the world can follow and emulate in one
particular area, one that is very close to our hearts. Indeed, our very
lives depend on our success in this upcoming mission, and it is
absolutely crucial that unwavering support for our representatives is
shown to them and to the world. 
 
   I, of course, am referring to USA Basketball's training games that
started last weekend and continue through this week. The "lives
depedning on it" thing might be a little dramatic, but I bet a pound of
my flesh that we beat Serbia on Friday, so it's true for me, anyway.
It's a chance to see Lebron throw oops to Amare, to see Iverson cross up
some big white guy trying to guard him and dish to Marbury for the
three, to see Carmelo Anthony and Dwyane Wade work a fastbreak together
and finish to Tim Duncan. 
 
I've included a game schedule, and for those of you in Burlington, I'm
watching the Italy game at my house (where I've DVRed them) tonight
after I get finished at the garden, probably around 7 or 7:30. 
 
I want the US to destroy the rest of the world. And that's the last time
you'll ever hear those 11 words on this list.
