I understand and accept your apology.   I also felt bad all weekend,
because I had provoked you so and I confess because your response made
me feel somewhat like an old worthless rag.   However, your gracious and
eloquent apology makes me now feel like a million bucks.  Thank you.

If it's any comfort, mistakes and extreme emotions frequently result in
lessons learned best, so I think you and I stand to gain much from our
exchange in the long run.   It's a human foible and pity that we don't
(or can't) learn as well from the painless routes and we do from the
painful ones!

  I apologize for flying off the handle, it was really stupid for all
the reasons spoken of by both David and Vicki. We're not doing any good
for anything any of us believe in by getting immature and personal, and,
regardless of particular allegiances, we share so many viewpoints that
it's a waste of time to take up space that could be used to build
understanding. 

  On a personal note, to Vicki, that was WAY out of line on my part, and
I felt like an asshole all weekend while hanging out with my Dad - who
argues just as vociferously on behalf of the Dems as you do. We get into
heated discussions, where we both get passionate, but he's my Dad, and
that antagonism is never really allowed to come into play. I think, in
many ways, I let go on YOU for all my frustrations with the lack of
response I've seen by the Democratic Party to an increasing gap between
the parties and the people, in a way that was stupid and reckless. You
are far too valuable to the list (and to my own personal
political/social development) to say what I said. I hope you understand
and accept my apology.

  I'd like to see a response to the actual points I raised, which, in
retrospect, may have been overshadowed by the other crap I wrote - Once
again, sorry. Most of that anger, like I said before, is really directed
at the party's lack of response to the people; many of these questions
have never been touched by the party, and I would be interested to hear
someone who is obviously as politically passionate as myself tell me why
they would support the Dems. 

  Once again y'all, my bad on the flame-out - I'm not much good at
self-restraint - and I promise to work on that in the future, or at
least direct it at the people who really deserve it. That's right,
Carrot Top, Billy Ray Cyrus, and Dean Koontz better watch their asses.
