[The Free Press printed this notice. -x] The Vermont Cannabis Coalition will sponsor two public screenings of the documentary "The Hemp Revolution" Aug. 21. The documentary, directed by Anthony Clarke, explores the hemp plant's history, its uses, and the economic and cultural forces behind its prohibition. The Vermont Cannabis Coalition, a nonprofit organization founded in 2000 by Denny Lane, seeks to educate Vermonters about the uses of cannabis and encourages residents to get active in the political process. "The Hemp Revolution" will be shown at 4 and 6 p.m. at the Firehouse Center for the Visual Arts in Burlington. There will be a question-and-answer forum after each screening.
