Is our collective memory REALLY that shallow? I just have trouble underst=
anding why people think that Nader accepting money from "unsavory" source=
s, such as Republicans, is so damned bad. Both the Republicans and the De=
mocrats are whores for whoever's got the loot, but nobody seems too conce=
rned about that. What does a few thousand bucks from one campaign to anot=
her mean when compared to a CORPORATE entity donating MILLIONS?=20

On top of that, the Republicans are right (correct, that is). Any votes f=
or Nader WILL come from the Kerry camp. What the far-right Republicans ar=
e doing is giving money to a leftist campaign in an attempt to undercut t=
he true left from the right-centrist Dems, who've generally gotten that v=
ote by default. Which means that all the Dems have to do to get those vot=
es back (as if they were theirs by right...) is TAKE UP A FEW LEFTIST, NO=
N-CORPORATIST ISSUES!!! That simple.=20

It's not Nader's fault that Kerry is not representing the left, and BAREL=
Y represents an option from the current belligerent nationalistic interna=
tional campaign we've been waging. Where does Kerry stand on troop withdr=
awal? Where does he stand on Iraq? Anything I've heard from his camp has =
said, "Yes, we would have gone into Iraq, but it would have been differen=
t." Oh, I see, it would have been DIFFERENT. Well, I know I'll sleep bett=
er at night knowing that we have a DIFFERENT hand on the throat of any oi=
l-rich nation. The economy will recover if the war is just waged DIFFEREN=
TLY. And we'll most certainly be MUCH safer at home and abroad with a DIF=
FERENT guy using the SAME DAMNED POLICIES to create more international ha=
tred abroad of the U.S.=20

And for those of you who don't know, which I'm sure is very few on this l=
ist, it's that, not hatred of freedom, not racism, and CERTAINLY not reli=
gion that is the root of terrorism.=20

Could someone please explain this to John Kerry?
