Heads, While I was researching the BSE issue, I came across an interview with whistle- blower Dr. Lester Friedlander. It was presented by a group called Go Vegan Texas, during a show with a community forum bent called Open Journal. Dr. Friedlander was a veterinarian at Taylor Packing in Wyalusie, PA (owned by Cargill Meat Solutions). He was, by accounts I have seen, a dedicated and decorated employee of the USDA from 1985-1992. (It should be mentioned these shows are presented by KPFT 90.1, a Pacifica station based in Houston, Texas. http://www.kpft.org) Most shows are archived at the following address: http://www.kpftarchive.org/eniru.html I wanted to include a link to the interview, or include a partial transcript, but I was unable to get back into the archives (at the time), and it didn't fit the tone of the issue.
