The presentations of the 2003 Scheme Workshop were quite interesting. The
proceedings are now available at:

Perhaps the best thing to come out of the standardization panel was the
decision to have the strategy committee (Alan Bawden, Will Clinger, Richard
Kelsey, Marc Feeley & Mitch Wand) appoint a board of editors (5) and steering
committee (3) that will be announced in 2 weeks to continue the now stagnant
standardization process. And the most sound advice mentioned, IMO, during the
process was that of Shriram Krishnamurthi [SK] and Matthias Felleisen [MF]:

SK: A recommendation: Every change should take into consideration the
ability to have reasonable static type checking systems.

MF: I would like to an operational semantics for Scheme. We are capable and
should hold ourselves to a high standard.
