Hello, I am pleased to annouce the release of GNU mcron 1.0.0. This is the first release as an a official GNU package, and follows four earlier pre-releases. The GNU package mcron (Mellor's cron) is a 100% compatible replacement for Vixie cron. It is written in pure Guile, and allows configuration files to be written in scheme (as well as Vixie's original format) for infinite flexibility in specifying when jobs should be run. While Savannah is reeling from convulsions, the package is being temporarily distributed from http://www.rdmp.org/mcron (web site) and ftp://ftp.rdmp.org (downloads). Mailing lists are currently being set up: bugs-mcron-mXXj517/[email protected], [email protected] and [email protected].
