Weekly update time,

See the attached Calender for who's on deck this week.
I have also attached the calender for August. As you will see there
are no names on work party days. I would like to have 1-3 Mixmasters
for each of our work parties.
A word of warning, starting with August the calender will be enforced.
If you don't send me dates that you are committed to working as a
Mixmaster then I'll have to send you to other jobs around the site
when we have a full crew. We have many people walking in on the same
day and then none on the next. We need to balance our labor and
become more effective.

Last week's Mixmaster work parties went very well.

Bob Adams hooked up our mobile pump with an ergonomic handle and
resealed it's fittings so it no longer needs a catch pan to live in.

Friday Curt Sommer and myself finished fiddling with the major
assembly of the 200 gal batch dryer. Felix Kersting, Greg Bently,
Nancy Skiles and Tom Tricola all had major parts in design and
construction of our solar assisted dryer . Nice job on this
collaboration.

The 200 gal batch secondary wash system is waiting on an operational
test, should happen this Friday.
Curt and I also did primary wash on 2 individual 50 gal batch's as
well as loading #1 for a reaction on Friday.

Saturday the 200 gal batch dryer was hooked up and had a very
successful test run by Felix Kersting. With the hot summer weather it
will work great. Need to come up with a method of preheating the air
we use in the dryer for our cold wet winter to come.

So Friday looks like this.
-Titrate and react oil in #1.
-Move batch's in #2,#3 into the secondary wash system and giv'em a spin.
-Reload #1 for a reaction on Saturday.

Saturday.
-Test fuel in Secondary wash system and if it pass' send it to the
dryer and then on to distribution.
-Titrate and react oil in #1.
-Give Friday's batch a wash.
-Reload #1 for reaction next Friday

Loads of stuff to do but as you can see we have moved into a rhythm of
making fuel that is beginning to produce regularly for the Coop.

We are basically at, what I like to call, Generation 1.5 of our
processor and keeping this pace will give us a modest 400gal/month by
the end of August. With a dedicated oil heating system this could
easily be bumped up to 6-800 gallons/month.
This is our next task, getting a oil preheating system set in place,
whether electrical, solar or a combination of both(I think the combo
is going to do the trick) our next primary design phase will be
nailing down a specific plan and materials list for our oil preheat
system. 200 gallons per batch is the main criteria.

******With this in mind I am calling a Mixmaster meeting for Thursday
August 10th for 730pm at the site.******
Mark it on your calender. I will be sending out an agenda the week
prior to the meeting.

Have fun and hope to see you down at the site.

Seth
