10/5/06 Thurs - Mix update - Zac, Tom, Gary/Vicki, Mark, black cat Heated ------------ oil, 50 gallons, still in tank #1, heated, needs crude drained and to be reacted water, in hot water tank in conex, filled to the top Bottom "Bad" Oil Drained ---------- none. It was a trick question. There is no bad oil, just oil that has lost its way. Reacted ------------- oil, 50 gallons, now settling in tank #3, will need glycerin removed on Sat 10/7 am. Titration was 1381 grams NaOH for 189.2 liters of oil. Glycerin Removal --------------- none. It's still with us. Wash 1 ----------- transferred fuel to wash #2 tote Wash 2 ---------- wash tote #1 contents moved to here Dry ---------- 100? gallons almost dry in dryer tote. Should be ready by sat 10/7 am Other ----------- 50 gallon drum of methanol delivered (thanks Gary) ate hot dogs and hamburgers (thanks Tom, Vicki and Gary) junction box for reactor tanks thermostats shorted. Do not use. cleaned fuel tote Tom chopped the hell out of that fruit tree. Container Status 10/5/06 --------------- Tank #1 - heated oil, needs settled crude drained, and to be pre- washed then reacted Tank#2 - empty Tank #3 - reacted oil, needs glycerin/water drained anytime after 10/6 8pm, and moved to wash Wash Tote #1 - watery/fuel settlement - needs transfer to waste water tote (see below) Wash Tote #2 - good fuel, currently settling - needs to be moved to dryer after settling Dryer Tote - good fuel, almost dry - needs to be filtered and transferred to fuel tote Fuel Tote - absolutely empty - needs to be filled! Waste Water Tote - - waste water tote #1 is full but has reasonably clean fuel on top that could be put back into wash tote #1 for washing. However, wash tote #1 currently has waste water that needs to be moved into waste water tote #1. Somehow, these totes need to exchange some of their contents with each other. Cleverness and spells should do the job. Work Needed -------------- - ASAP. Someone to fix the junction box for the reactor tank thermostats. - work on generator; it's leaking air -repair leaking cam link on short clear hose. - Help grading area for clearing under temporary shelter -Help erecting temporary shelter -Move glycerin from white plastic barrel with blue top to another barrel. the blue top barrel has a crack -remove blackberries completely from around totes on east side. Use haddock or pick axe to remove by roots. Need to move totes clear to do this properly. -Haul concrete away or call The Wall to see if they can pick it up Things to Purchase ----------------- - cam link ends for extra clear hose in back shed -replacement 10ml buret -200A @ 240V power drop from City of Milwaukee Things to Ponder ------------------ -What to do with waste water in our waste water totes. -Way to muffle the sound of the generators without making them conk out. -Is Reactor Tank #1 really #2 and is #2 really #1? -Why does the big generator always trip its circuit breaker? You're probably wondering how I had time to do all this and why I would even bother.
