I think the sludge that we have now at the bottom of the totes has been squeezed as much as its gonna be squeezed. Its had all summer in the hot sun to percolate the good stuff up out of the crud and that's what we are left with. According to Seth (talked with him ~2 wks ago), he is confident an oil renderer would be happy to come down and pickup whatever WVO sludge we have. I have that on my list of to-dos to set up. If anyone has thoughts/concerns of a better solution, just let me know. How much fuel can we > squeeze out of it? Per conversation with Amanda Rice at last friday's meeting, this can be run thru acid/base or mixed with better oil and processed. Again, there are people in Australia making biodiesel from sheep renderings. Seth was talking about acid/base this spring as we put together Gen2 ideas. If he ever rears his head again, he will have a comment - well worth listening to since I recall his dad uses this technique. Coproducts needs to tap a little coop expertise to decide how to process this stuff. We probably need to pretreat in a tote, since acid LOVES to eat metals. Many people on the yahoo lists have commented as to how high a titration they are having sucess with. Might be worth a look and do a little special blending. Just my 2 cents, Felix _______________________________________________ mixmasters mailing list [email protected] http://lists.gobiodiesel.org/mailman/listinfo/mixmasters _______________________________________________ mixmasters mailing list [email protected] http://lists.gobiodiesel.org/mailman/listinfo/mixmasters
