MixMaster Calendar Party 11/8/06 6pm Lucky Lab

What: ANY coop members, regardless of experience, who are interested  
in helping a mixmaster lead make fuel. Bring your calendar and work  
with a mixmaster lead to schedule a day to make fuel.
Experience Needed: NONE
Time Commitment: There is no minimum. Work once a month if you like.  
It's up to you.


Here is some important information you might consider before  
discarding this email:


Paradigm Shift #1:
OLD: A super knowledgeable mix master lead is down on site full-time  
making all the fuel for the coop.
NEW: Fuel is made by a constantly revolving group of coop members,  
supervised by friendly, helpful mixmaster leads. Any coop member can  
help make fuel. Mixmaster leads will be there to supervise. You learn  
the details as you go and have a good time.

Paradigm Shift #2:
OLD: Only people who can dedicate a lot of time each month can be  
mixmasters.
NEW: Fuel is made by a constantly revolving group of coop members,  
some of whom come down to the site ONLY ONCE PER MONTH! There is no  
minimum amount of work you can sign up for. If every member spent 3  
hours a month making fuel, we'd have more fuel than we could ever use.

Paradigm Shift #3:
OLD: Fuel is made every Thursday and every Saturday.
NEW: Fuel is made ONLY ON DAYS when at least one coop member and a  
mixmaster lead are available to work together.

Paradigm Shift #4:
OLD: Making biodiesel is a dangerous and complex activity. I'll let  
the experts make it and I'll do something else.
NEW: Fuel does not make itself and no one is an expert. This coop is  
designed to provide fuel to its members. We are a careful bunch and  
our mixmaster leads have no intention of letting you blow yourself  
up. Any member can make help fuel with a mixmaster lead present. Come  
down and try it. It's easy, it's fun and you'll have a great time.
