Friends,

Here are the basics of what happened on site last Saturday;

Felix, Ron &Zan tore down and hard piped one of the processors.  Piping is complete and ready to be tested.  Ron installed the gasket in the lid.
To do; 
1. The piping must be tested with about 5 gallons of hot oil to verify it is tight. 
2. Need to reinstall the switch on the pump - had to be taken apart to get the pump off the wood base.
3. Need to finish insulating the reactor with the fiberglass that Zac bought.  Wrap the insulation around the processor and and stop it on each side of the sight glass and tape down with the metallic tape.  
4. Need to insulate the piping on the reactor.
5. Need to insulate the lid of the reactor using the foam insulation of Felix brought to the site (and took home!)
6. need a bracket to suppor the pump off the legs of the reactor.  I have a conceptual design for this and most of the parts.

Greg and Ron turned around the pump on the oil receptacle.  The pump couldn't be tested because there was water in the oil that froze in the suction line.

Greg and Ron also mounted the bag filter housing on the wall of the conex in preparation for filtering finished fuel on the way to the distribution tote.

Ron was dumping cubies into the oil receptacle as we worked.

Greg and Ron continued to work after I left - guys: fill in these blanks please!!

This work party was small but very effective - thanks guys!

Next steps - 
1. START MAKING FUEL!
Reactor Restoration
1. Felix will get the parts required for piping up the second reactor and the sprinkler heads for the wash tank.
2  Purchase more pumps for reactors 2 & 3 - I think Zan is doing this
3. pipe up the second reactor
Wash Tanks (thanks to Ron for transferring the mayo out of the wash tank)
1. Test sprinkler washing to verify effectiveness - This is a perfect Greg Rohde task
3. if the sprinkler washing works, 
a. hard plumb a pump to one of the wash tote
b. build a second wash tank that nests on top of first wash tank
Settling Tank(s)
1. Install thru-tank fitting at the right place in the tank.  This will require a discussion with the mixmasters regarding glycerin volume.  We need to get back into production and refine our chemistry to make sure we pass the 3/27 test - in case we increase our methanol percentage.  The worst case scenario I see would be 50 gal oil, 11 gallons methanol (22% per Univ of Idaho) & 2.75 gallons water (5.5% prewash).  That would put the bung just above the 41.25 gallon mark (3 x 13.75).  If we put it a little high, it will be no problem: if a few gallons of bioD remains on the surface of the glycerin, it will be recaptured with the next settling operatiion.
2. build a second settling tank that nests above the first.

Other upcoming tasks:
- hard pipe all process piping from reactos to the distribution tank
-build a second dryer

AN URGENT NEED - WILL SOME ONE PLEASE VOLUNTEER TO CALL PGE AND FIND OUT HOW MUCH IT WILL COST TO INSTALL A 240v/200A DROP TO THE CONEX?  Please let me know if you are willing to make this call.  I can prompt you with all the details.
