In light of some recent events at the site regarding electrical in the Conex and switches not working as they were thought to work, I think this is a good reminder of something that continues to get pushed to the bottom of the pile. I am proposing we re-visit the urgency of getting our Conex electrical up to code for its use and then work with PGE to get a 200 A service dropped direct to the Conex. Thoughts?.. We can't afford to continue down the path we are currently, its just not safe (first and foremost) or efficient. In addition, I would also like to propose an idea Karen and I were discussing to help keep track of what is happening down at the site. I feel its critical to know that members are making changes to a particular system, whether that's changes to our processor, re-building pumps, fixing a dryer,re-wiring, etc. The idea is, we maintain a clipboard that is used for EVERYONE to sign in if they are doing ANYTHING to change the state of things at the coop site. It doesn't have to be an involved process, just write your name in, the date and a minimal description of what you are doing. It could be just a couple words long. We need to know when someone has come down and re-wired a switch or set up a tote for WVO, or whatever. Please share you thoughts or if you have a better idea to track this kind of info. If I don't hear anything over the next week, I will work to have this implemented by that following wknd. Thanks.
