taps on totes

Pete,

I got a couple of those thru-tank fittings from work.  I will see if I can get some more.  I know that Ron Buckner and Greg Rohde put the ones in the bbq, wash and settling totes - Zan may will have been involved in some of all of that. 

We should agree on a height from the bottom of the tote.  I say about 16" up.

Felix, sorry I didn't call you last night on this same subject.  Didn't get your message till late yesterday.
 
Karen and I got a whole lot of nothin done Zac after you left.  Tried pumping the mostly watering sludge oil out of the tote next to the 'bbq barrel' using the bottom outlet (so we had a const head pressure on the suction side of the pump) and the darn thing still couldn't pull the oil.  Guess it was just too thick.  I am thinking, unless we can get the work-horse pump going, and it can pull that thick stuff out, we just drain into 5 gal buckets or oil drain pans and dump into a 'bad WVO tote'.  
 
A realization that I came to, we need drain taps on all totes that have WVO in them. Similar to the wash tank and settling tank, so we are allowed some bottom crap to settle and have a tap to pull off the good WVO without have to stick a hose down from the top.  This priming the lines business is for the birds!  If you folks agree with this idea, lets get whoever that was who did the settling and wash totes together to get some more taps on our WVO totes.  Who was that?  I know Zan was involved.  Others?..
