For the next board meeting, please discuss the following site equipment repairs: 1) second washer 2) dryer updates 3) purchasing CaCl (Calcium Chloride) for emulsion breaking 1) We want to build a second washer, so we can catch up on washing fuel. We have a tote slated to convert, we just need to get a go ahead from the board to build it. It will not affect current wash procedures. 2) The dryer needs a filter on its fan to prevent particles in the air from getting into our drying fuel. Also, we are going to need to reattach the inlet hose so we can move washed fuel into the dryer. This involves just putting a hose on the dryer inlet. We have to do this before we can resume using the dryer. 3) Heard from Felix that CaCl will break emulsions. We have quite a bit of emulsified fuel sitting on site. I recommend that we get a small sample of CaCl (1 gallon) and do some emulsion breaking tests with it. We are having a mixmaster overview and scheduling meeting on Monday, July 16 at 7 pm On Site. We have contacted ALL the members from our membership list who were tagged as mixmaster members. If you did not get called, you should call 503-289-5551 to coordinate with Tamar about coming to this meeting. If you want to earn karma points by helping on the site with our current washing, this is the meeting to attend to learn about the process, get trained and most importantly, get scheduled for work.
