Felix, My posting as you read it, is just my theory of how things ought to be. I was asked by Brian to put it togather and write it down on paper, or at least that's what I thought I was doing. I think the bucket altitude thing is mostly for ease of cleaning totes and access to the valves fixed to the totes.

I for one don't enjoy bending over and getting on my knees to turn stuck valves etc. As I remember, you had much more altitude than I, so am sure you will appreciate having the valves where you can get to them a little easier, when you take your turn washing and drying fuel .

I agree that this is a group project and all plans should be OK'ed by all memberership concerned equally. I was not privey to the site plan in existance previously and Im not trying to design from scratch, however for those who are to be doing the washing and drying I have advised some Ideas that might make their lives a little simpler, easier and safer.

The scientific process dictates that something stands until it is superseeded by new knowledge. I believe we have worked long enough with the plant as is, to see that their are things that need to be changed at the site to better streamline the process. Unless everyone is happy with the current output, I would suggests that some changes be made. I have tabled my suggestions. Perhaps this is a place to start a discussion on rethinking the plant?

I try to leave my ego at home when I show up for work. Im not sure ego, is what works for a cooporative venture. I enjoy it when we all work togather for the good of the cooperative. I appreciate that some have done a lot more than I have, some less. I does what I can's, when I can's. Thank you all for your great efforts. I will continue to assist in washing and drying on Wednesdays and help wherever and whenever I can. We agree on much more than we disagree on. Thank you for your comment.

That's my story an Im stickin to it, Bill Dodds

PS: some of the process I stole from Zac

they happen.
>
>I have a ton of personal time and ego wrapped up in the site and process
>equipment. That being said, the site layout has generally been a group
>process, so if anything gets changed the process needs to occur again.
>Things are where they are for a reason in most cases.
>
>I disagree with the supposition that everything needs to have room for a
>5 gallon bucket under it. The long view is that nothing has hoses and
>is all hard piped - making it much safer and and simpler and spill
>resistant. The site plan shows locations for wash water totes, etc.
>
>Lacking is the platform by the BBQ - it is falling over because it has
>not diagonal supports. It needs to be fixed if we are going to use it
>at all.
>
>I heartily agree that
distribution needs to be moved to the North side
>of the Conex per the site layout. The metered pump idea is what I have
>been trying for.
>
>Bill's effort is commendable and will help us prioritize our work into
>the future.
>
>Thanks,
>
>Felix
>
>
>
>------------------------------
>
>_______________________________________________
>mixmasters mailing list
>[email protected]
>
>End of mixmasters Digest, Vol 41, Issue 16
>******************************************
