What can be done solo at the site?

Greetings all,
I went down to the site this morning and hung around unaccompanied for  
an hour or so. If no other scheduled member shows up to work, are  
there certain tasks that can still be performed, outside of washing  
and drying fuel? For instance, I cleaned up the lab bench in the conex  
a bit and did a pH test of the wash tote. Are these things acceptable  
protocol? Perhaps we can set up a list of 'solo' tasks that people can  
carry out if no one shows but he or she still wants to hang around and  
help out. Thanks.
