well now, speaking of bad mechanical shops, I had a tranny problem with my  
diesel truck and had cottman transmission in sherwood check it out.  yep, I  
needed to have my transmission rebuilt at about $2000. I went home and  
discovered a vacuum tube ( which I spotted just by removing the air cleaner  housing) 
had slipped off which was preventing the tranny to shift to high  gear..and 
you don't want to hear how much I ended up paying for one of those  $99  brake 
jobs by the brake team... (I'm supposed to charge you $1300 ,but  I'm going to 
give you a break and only charge you $1000..  )
