may wanna also see if the 'snow screen' airflow grille piece is clogged up - you can see the method for removal on TDI Club's website...besides the fuel filter that may be a likely culprit, especially with mud, grime and rain in Portland/Seattle area.... this should be the URL...http://tdiclub.com/TDIFAQ/TDiFAQ-7.html#c good luck!
