Hi,
I have asked this email list 5 times for the coop
physical location. Thank you for explaining, B.  I
wondered why no one was giving me the address. I have
not joined, and I was going to come see the co-op, if
the center is in Portland and reasonably accessible
from my location, work and join-all at once (if
possible so that I could see/understand what I was
getting into). This seems like a logical, efficient
way to spend/donate a Saturday with the co-op. I
thought I could just drop in, sign a waver, help out,
join, purchase some fuel, get some tips on my diesel
vehicle, meet the people, etc. If this is not allowed
or not recommended then I will write an explanation
for the FAQ page (I use OpenOffice, not MS Word) that
I think would be helpful for future prospective
members so they will not spin their wheels for weeks
trying to get info/fuel that is good for the earth.
Now my partner is having reservations about purchasing
a diesel car; based on my inability to get info from
this group and I will likely purchase a 1998 gas
Subaru Legacy instead of a 1999-2003 Jetta wagon. I
wanted to get a diesel car because I already have a
diesel truck and I could use my membership to help
supply my future car with fuel. If anyone is going to
help me I hope they step forward soon. I already have
a $75 pre-sale appointment at Voltec to evaluate the
Subaru for tomorrow (Wed) at 10:00AM
