two easy mileage enhancers: 1) make sure those tires are inflated! My wife's golf tires were down this past weekend to 25psi, I bumped them back up to 40 where they were supposed to be - It amazes me how the bigger wheels/lower profile tires seem to lose air much easier than the old-school 14" higher profile tires on my Vanagon....and they COST so much more, too - doh! 2) remove that 'snow screen' thing per the note on TDI Club - this one may require having it done when you bring your car in for service, and may not apply to brand new cars, not sure - I plan on having it done on our '00 TDI Beetle next service visit though.. kevin Seattle > I have a "New beetle" TDI and I have found that I get about 5 to 10 more > MPG using regular diesel. > > But I didn't buy this vehicle to run regular diesel in it, so the MPG are > irrelevant to me. > > -Steve Geiger > >> Intriguing.
