Biodiesel Bash

Greetings GoBiodiesel Owners -

The FUNdraising Committee is energized by our intention to help put on
the co-op's biggest event to date at Lola's Room on 11-11-06!  It is
shaping up to be a really fun night with good music, a local city
official to speak, and more.  

What we need BIG HELP with right now is the procurement of items for our
silent auction.  If each member were to provide even just ONE item we
would be well on our way to an outstanding, fun and successful
benefit.  

We have already received some great items from members and non-members,
including: season tickets to two local theatres; a sailing adventure;
skiing lessons; pottery from one of our local artisans; and $90 worth of
veterinary care at the Hawthorne Vet Clinic.

Here are a few other ideas to help get more juices (or shall we say
biodiesel?) flowing:

* hand-made crafts or jewelry
* donation of services up to a certain value (accounting, computers,
interior 
   design, housecleaning, etc.) 
* tickets to a concert or sporting event
* use of a cabin (yours, a friends, co-workers) for two nights
* diesel car maintenance including oil and fuel filter change
* healing work or massage
* art pieces
* lessons (cooking, yoga, knitting, pottery, etc.)

With less than four weeks till the event we really need folks to make
offerings and source items from local businesses PDQ. The deadline for
accepting donations is Saturday, 11/4.  

This event has huge potential for being a substantial fundraiser and
your contribution is greatly appreciated!  To donate and/or coordinate
