If you need to get going, you can try what I did in Colorado one  
morning when I woke up to about 14 degrees.  The Mercedes had metal  
fuel lines.  I put an electric space heater under the hood, blowing  
directly on the fuel lines and fuel filter, for 30 minutes.  At the  
second try, it started and I continued on my way to Portland.  Once  
it was running for a few minutes the warm return line fuel kept it  
flowing.
