DON"T DO IT!!  The Fuelmeister is a huge waste of money and has a questionable safety record (it is plaxtic and plastic + heat + methanol is almost alywas a bad idea in my opinion).  For a days work, you can have a homemade processor for a fraction of the cost.  Check out b100supply.com, Biodiesel Warehouse, or Utah Biodiesel for kits and plans using a hot water heater and parts from a local hardware store.

We are considering buying the fuelmister 2, does anyone have one and do you

Fellow co-opers,

Posting here first-- will put it on craigslist later this weekend.

We bought this from a TDI club member and it has done well by us. VW
replaced the injection pump just before 60,000 (D2 use primarily
before that). We've taken good care of it, but have purchased a B4V
(larger) and have an EV on the way so it is time to sell. I have a
clean recent Carfax on it, not sure how to post that.

Most details below, please email with questions and I'll give you my
phone if you are seriously interested. I'll keep track of who wants
it in what order via email date/times.

Oldpoopie (local PDX mechanic) has done most of the work for me on
this car.
I have had two estimates for the parallel parking fiasco on the rear
bumper, the high one was $700. If you're like me, it doesn't matter.
I've priced it with that bit in mind.
