Tomorrow, Tuesday, afternoon, there will be a meeting in Los Alamos

use and access on the Preserve.

The meeting, scheduled for 4:00 to 87:00 PM, will be held at
the University of New Mexico Los Alamos Campus Student Center, 4000
University Drive, Los Alamos, NM 87544

For more information, go to the valles caldera website at
www.vallescaldera.gov/

The meeting schedule is listed at
http://www.vallescaldera.gov/get_involved/public/public_plan_meetings.aspx

PLANNING MEETINGS OVERVIEW

The Trust is beginning a long-term planning process for visitor
access and use of the Preserve. Phase 1 of the planning process
comprises four meetings with the public to hear their ideas on
visitor capacity; recreation, education and research programs offered
to the public; and the types of facilities and infrastructure, such
as roads, trails and utilities, needed to support public visitation
and visitor programs. We will also share with the public the
challenges of managing this unique federal property, including the
mandate to become financially self-sufficient by 2015.

We encourage the public to attend the meetings and discuss their
ideas with members of the Trust Board and staff, and with other
members of the public. We will provide regular updates and
information about the process, including the documents distributed at
the meetings, on these web pages.
