Gun Show/Raffle/Key Exchange

Dear LASC Members;


The Los Alamos Sportsmen's Club 11th Annual Gun Show is fast 
approaching and we would like to keep you, the membership, informed 
and ask for your help to make the show a success.

The show is Saturday, September 15th from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM and 
Sunday, September 16th from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM at the Pueblo Gym, 
1900 Diamond Drive, Los Alamos.

The Annual Gun Show is our largest fund-raising activity and a fun 
way to spend a few hours socializing with friends and other members.  
In addition, it is one of the last chances for organized volunteer 
labor credit to keep you from having to pay an extra $65 in dues next 
year if you haven't already satisfied your work deposit.  We will 
need many volunteers to work at this event.  We need volunteers for 
night guard duty, door monitors, key exchange, club table duty, 
raffle duty, set up and clean up, helping the 4-H with lunches, etc.

We have exhibitor tables available to club members at a reduced price 
to encourage more participation from our members.  This is a close, 
convenient, and entertaining venue to sell items that you no longer 
use or that are taking up space at home or in the garage.  We 
encourage selling of outdoor sporting goods, firearms, ammunition, 
books, reloading, fishing, and camping equipment.  Wildlife art is 
also welcome.

If you come by during lunch, the Junior 4-H Club will be serving hot 
dogs and hamburgers to raise money for their programs.

We will be hosting a fund raiser raffle of a Glock 23 .40 caliber 
handgun and a Remington 870 Supermag, 12 gauge shotgun, 3 1/2 in 
chamber.  The tickets are $5 each or 3 for $10.  The proceeds go to 
improving the club and ranges, as well as safety programs.  You will 
be receiving a mailing in which you will find your first six raffle 
tickets to buy or sell.  Please bring the tickets along with payment 
to the Gun Show or return them along with payment to Will Schmitz, 
171 Blue Spruce Dr., Jemez Springs, NM 87025.  Since the mailing 
looks like it will be late in arriving, the original drawing date of  
the end Gun Show on September 16th will be postoned until the October 
Board Meeting.  You need not be present to win, but winners must be 
legally able to own a firearm and undergo a NCIS background check.

IMPORTANT NOTICE

We will also be performing an indoor range/clubhouse key exchange AT 
THE GUN SHOW.  We are re-keying the Clubhouse/indoor range on 
September 15th, and you will need to stop by THE GUN SHOW AT THE 
PUEBLO GYM and exchange your old key for a new one if you want to 
maintain your access.  Your old key and valid badge will be required 
for the exchange.  Without your old key, you will be charged a $5 fee.
