Calling all Elk Fanatics

All Elk hunters in the Club should be interested in this!  The Rocky
Mountain Elk Foundation has done a lot for wildlife here in New Mexico -
like installing a trick tank in Garcia Canyon behind the Rendija canyon
pumice mine.  There mission is to ensure the future of elk, other wildlife
and their habitat.. They are pro-gun and pro-hunting and deserve our
support!



The Santa Fe Chapter will be holding their annual banquet, raffle and
auction on Saturday, March 12 , 2005 at the Courtyard by Marriot in Santa
Fe.  The Courtyard is located at 3347 Cerrillos road. The doors will open
at 5:00 pm to a no host bar and dinner will be served at 7:00 pm.  Dinner
this year includes salad, Texas barbeque chicken, barbeque pork ribs, ball
tip sirloin steaks, baked potatoes, corn on the cob, cowboy beans,
jalapeno cornbread, double chocolate brownies, and apple pie.  The live
auction will start at approximately 8:00 pm.  Auction items include
rifles, limited edition wildlife prints, bronze sculptures, jewelry, and
fishing, hunting and camping equipment.



Banquet tickets are $60 for a single ticket and $90 for a couple.  This
includes an annual membership in the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation and a 1
year subscription to their excellent magazine The Bugle.  Call Becky
Martinez (471-9303) to make a reservation, order tickets, or answer any
questions you may have. Reservations must be received by March 7th as
seating is limited. You can order tickets by phone and pick them up at the
door on the 12th.
