The High Power Clinic fee is $15.00.  Be prepared to spend most of the day 
at the range.  No class prizes will be awarded.  Safety is foremost and 
will be strictly inforced.

LOS ALAMOS SPORTSMEN'S CLUB - HIGHPOWER RIFLE MATCHES 2005 SCHEDULE

The Club will shoot a National Match Course of fire each month for 7 
months. Match dates are Sundays: High Power Clinic April 17, Matches May 
15, June 5, July 3, August 7, September 4, October 2, and November 6. These 
matches are at the club range in Rendija Canyon. Registration at Los Alamos 
begins at 07:30 AM and will close at 08:20 AM with the match starting at 
08:30 AM. Match fee is $10.00. Juniors pay $5.00. Juniors must be 14 years 
of age or older and be accompanied by a parent for parental permission.

Competition will be shoulder to shoulder within NRA classes. Current NRA 
rules will apply to all matches and all classes. Rifles (the Club has M1 
Garands), mats, spotting scopes, and shooting gloves are available at the 
Club for use at matches. Ammunition is available to purchase for use at the 
match. Eye and hearing protection is MANDATORY. Bring a coat, sweatshirt, 
or shooting jacket, in the prone position you will be shooting while your 
elbows are on the ground. A hat and water is also of benefit.

NATIONAL MATCH COURSE OF FIRE AT LOS ALAMOS WILL BE AT 200 YARDS.

Two sighting shots will be allowed and can be taken in any position in a 
time limit of two minutes before each course of fire.

Awards for the Los Alamos matches are as follows: Classes will be combined 
upward if there are 2 or fewer in a class. Second in class will be given if 
there are 4 or more shooters in a class and third in class will be given if 
there are 6 or more shooters in a class. Awards within classes will be - 
$3.00 for 1st, $2.00 for 2nd, $1.00 for 3rd. The match winner in each 
course of fire will receive $4.00. Juniors will receive ribbons for first 
and second places. No separate distinction for women.

Shooters will set-up and take down the range and targets and score 
competitors targets. Competitors may be asked to assist with range operations.

All range and match safety procedures shall be followed. Rifles, mats, 
gloves, safety, and match tutoring are available at Los Alamos. Safety, 
rifle, and match procedure tutoring should be done before participating in 
a competitive match. Normal tutoring cannot be done the day of the match.

Firing one full match qualifies the competitor for the purchase of your own 
M1 Garand from the Civilian Marksmanship Program (CMP).

Rifle range will be closed to non-competitors during scheduled matches.
