Join us for the first monthly high power rifle match of 2005
this Sunday at Northern Rio Grande Sportsmans Club in Arroyo Seco.

The league is held at the NRGSC range near Espanola:  On 285 North,
go 5.3 miles North from the 502/285 interchange.  Right on La
Puebla road (County road 88 - new traffic light) for 2.0 miles.
Right on Arroyo Alamo East for 0.4 miles, the entrance to the range
is on the right.

2005 High Power Rifle League
CMP #43045, 80-shot Regional course

The Northern Rio Grande Sportsmans Club will shoot a monthly 80-shot
Regional course of fire on the fourth Sunday of each month from April
through December, 2005.

Each monthly event will be an individual tournament, with shoulder to 
shoulder competition within NRA classes.

Cost:  A $10 Match fee will be assessed.  Juniors will pay $5.  Based
on availability, NRGSC members may purchase an allotment of 90 rounds
of club ammunition for each tournament.  Club rifles will be available
for use.

Time:  Registration begins at 7:30am and closes at 8:15am.  Matches begin
promptly at 8:30am.  Entries are limited to the first 45 in registration
order.

NRA 80-shot Regional Course, 200-Yard Reduced targets

Three minutes of preparation will be allowed prior to each stage.
Following the preparation period, two sighting shots will be allowed
in a time limit of two minutes.  Immediately thereafter, the stage
will be fired.

Awards:  Awards will be based on the number of competitors in each
class:

  Entries              Awards
     5+       1st: $3, 2nd: $2, 3rd: $1
     4            1st: $2, 2nd: $1
     3                 1st: $1

Classes with only one or two competitors will have that class combined
with the next higher class.  The aggregate winner in each match will
receive $4.  The overall aggregate winner will receive $5.  No separate
distinction is made for women.  Juniors will be awarded ribbons.

The league will keep aggregates of individual scores and will report
league scores at the end of the season.  League participants must fire a 
minimum of three matches for scores to be reported.

New league members will be classified after two matches have been fired
using the NRA classification system.  Juniors are eligible for awards if they
fire a minimum of three matches.

Shooters will set up and take down the range and targets and will
score competitors targets.  Competitors may be asked to assist with
range operations.

All range and match safety procedures shall be followed.  The Rifle range 
will be closed to non-competitors during scheduled matches.
