_____ From: Charles Warner [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Tuesday, February 14, 2006 5:52 PM To: cwarner4887 Subject: Fw: NRA National Police Shooting Championships Supported by New Mexico Legislature! The Renegades are a Single Action Shootin Society (SASS) affillated club. We have a 2-bay set-up at the west end of the Shooting Park Range. The Founders Ranch is the SASS national range, and the site of "End 'o Trail" national matches. The Randh is ~20 miles east of Albuquerque. ----- Original Message ----- From: Milton Schroeder <mailto:[email protected]> To: Cary Barton <mailto:[email protected]> ; Gerald <mailto:[email protected]> Beasley ; Ronald P Berg <mailto:[email protected]> ; Lyle <mailto:[email protected]> Bowen ; David Brown <mailto:[email protected]> ; Jared <mailto:[email protected]> Cahill ; John <mailto:[email protected]> Cahill ; Kurt Carlson <mailto:[email protected]> ; Mike <mailto:[email protected]> Casillas ; Joe Chirieleison <mailto:[email protected]> ; Dwight Coles <mailto:[email protected]> ; Mark Covey <mailto:[email protected]> ; Deane Crawforth <mailto:[email protected]> ; Judy Czelusniak <mailto:[email protected]> ; William Dennis <mailto:[email protected]> ; Landis <mailto:[email protected]> Diedrich ; Pete DiVasto <mailto:[email protected]> ; Janet L. A month ago Rick Vernon advised us that this was going to happen and that Governor Richardson is definitely behind the project. Since then Governor Richardson has publicly promised $700,000 of state money to support this project. Ultimately it will cost 2 million plus. These are the National NRA Police Matches which have been held at Jackson, Mississippi for over 30 years. The NRA wants them permanently moved to Albuquerque. The NRA is not fronting any money. The City has no money. It is up to the state legislature. The Governor has the power that if he wants it it will happen. If it occurs Hayes City and the Renegades will benefit directly in the fact the we might get water and electric run up to Hayes City. Also RV parking spots, very nice restrooms, and a convention center will be built somewhere on the City Range. Indirectly we will be living in a state which will be hosting perhaps the most and largest shooting venues of any state or country in the world....Whittington Center, Founder's Ranch, and the Albuquerque Public Shooting Park. I would suggest we all contact all of the politicos in this message and urge the passing of this bill, and the Governor's office as well. Regards, Rancid Roy. During the 30-day budget session of the New Mexico Legislature, NRA-ILA and the New Mexico Shooting Sports Association have been working to secure money for improvements to Shooting Range State Park in Albuquerque, which will host the NRA National Police Shooting Championships starting in September of 2006.
