IDPA Match in May

This email is to allow members enough time to get ready, I was late in getting the email out for the regular match in April.

The IDPA Match Scheduled for 06 May is going to be a Classifier Match.

We will start set up for the Classifier beginning at 0900 and, (for those that have shot the Classifier before you know the routine), we will be running it per the IDPA rules.

You will need to bring at least 180 rounds of ammo, this will be enough if you have to shoot each and every stage over again (this is very unusual but it is a good idea to come prepared).

This match is to determine your classification ( something that a lot of people have questioned on the regular sign in sheet)

You can bring more than one firearm so as to classify in different categories, IE SSP (stock service pistol), CDP (Custom Defensive Pistol), ESP (Enhanced Service Pistol), SSR (Stock Service Revolver) or ESR (Enhanced Service Revolver)

I recommend that you come prepared for anything the weather can dish out, we shot the match in March in the rain and we will run the qualifier, if it is raining to hard Steve Chipera has agreed to bring the canoe for the movement aspect of the match.

I plan to set up at least 2 bays (hopefully 3) so that we can get everyone through in a timely manner.  For those who have shot this you will understand.

All further matches will include set up at 0800, time change and the Combination Change have come and gone so we are now on summer set up hours.

PSA:
If you haven't gotten your LASC Renewal in you need to do so.  The change in the combination for the gates was scheduled for 01 April.

Remember to Shoot Safe, Unload and Show Clear.
