Members, Here are a few of the items that we need to deal with during clean up day in the Pistol Pits. 1) The downed trees around the pits, they need to be cut up ( Rich Morley has done a good job on the dead ones and they are now down) they just need to be cut up. There is a tree that poses an issue as you enter the pistol section. We can cut it up... If you need firewood, please come down to the pistol section on Saturday the 29th. You can cut a good supply, and you can explain your spouse( him or her) that you are preparing for next year. 2) We are going to be doing a lot of work on the steel targets and plates that are in the pistol section. We need to move the .22 LR plate rack that is currently in the first pit to the Bulls Eye Range due to the amount of abuse that it has suffered over the past year. If you have a post hole digger this would be appreciated in this effort. 3) We need to make room for a new shed for storage of the target frames that are used by IDPA, IPSC and Cowboy Action. The suggestion has been raised to remove the "shed" that housed the bowling pins and put in a new one that can be locked up for the target frames that the various competitions use. We need to get the other out of the way to make way for the new. If you can help in any way, please come down. Remember that this is a volunteer club and you as members make it what it is. I am speaking as the Pistol Section Chair but if your interest is in Shotgun or Rifle they need your help during clean up also. The new Bunker Trap Facility is ready for use but there is some cosmetic work to be done. Please plan on coming down to the Club and helping out where ever you can on April 29th.
