The New Mexico State Police are so backlogged on Concealed Handgun Licenses that they are going to accept renewal applications 90 day before your expiration date, rather than 60. For those of you that only have a New Mexico CHL, it is _not_ valid after expiration even if DPS delays are the cause. Utah CHL permits are valid in New Mexico. I will do a Utah certification for CHL renewal applicants at the same time as your New Mexico renewal certification. The next renewal class is Saturday May 6 at 8:30 at the LASC covered pistol range. See http://nmchltraining.org Th anks to Mike Grimler for getting this info out of DPS -c "Skasik, Suzanne M., DPS" <[email protected]> wrote: The rules say up to 60 days prior to expiration, but as Agent Valdez stated below, we do have a backlog; therefore, we are accepting renewal apps up to 90 days prior to expiration. -- Chris Luchini This email list is primarily intended for communication of club related activities and New Mexico gun related information.
