Garand Match this Sunday

This Sunday, the 8th of October, we will have our first Club Garand Match of
this season. Registration will close at 8:30, and we will begin setup and
training at that time.

Mell Smithour and Wes Shumaker will present a mini-clinic on the shooting
positions as part of the match. This is not an appropriate forum for
learning marksmanship skills, but if you know what sight picture, trigger
squeeze and breath control mean, you will do fine shooting the match.

The club has several M1's available for load. Ammunition will be available
for $12/60 rounds. If you want to bring your AR15, that's fine (we will
have Lake City ammo available for $12/60 for your AR), or your K98 Mauser,
that's fine. But we won't have 8 mm ammo available, so you'll have to
provide your own for your Mauser.

Actually, we just want you to come out and shoot.  If you have an FN 
49, bring it out, or an Enfield.  Or, where's your Dad's '03 
Springfield?  If you need to use a scoped rifle, that's just fine.

Juniors are encouraged to participate.  Match and ammuniution are free for
Juniors. For adults, the match fee is $5.
