-------- Original Message -------- Subject: [Broadcast-discuss] sabotage of criticism of treaty at WIPO Date: Thu, 18 Nov 2004 03:31:56 -0800 (PST) From: "Robin Gross" <[email protected]> To: [email protected] 100 copies of IP Justice's statement and EFF's statement on the broadcasting treaty were stolen and found in the trash of the toilet at WIPO this morning. None of the pro-broadcasting treaty documents were stolen however. Several of the Alternative NGO proposal were also stolen and found behind a desk with more IP Justice statements this morning too. It is unclear if we will even be given a chance to speak at this meeting. Debate on all the controversial provisions has been put off until the end (when there will be no time to deal with them). They are really afraid that these delegates will be exposed to a contrary view on the merits of this treaty. Unbelievable.....
