-----Original Message----- From: Karen Williams <[email protected]> Date: Mon, 16 Feb 2004 14:38:37 -0700 Subject: Scholarly Communication Toolkit The ACRL Scholarly Communication Committee is creating a web-based toolkit designed to introduce librarians, faculty, administrators and other campus professionals to the scholarly communication landscape. The intent of the toolkit is to provide educational and advocacy materials about scholarly communication topics. The toolkit is intended to complement and extend the excellent materials already available from the Association for Research Libraries web site. ACRL members work in all types of higher education institutions and the toolkit will attempt to address what is similar across institutions, and what may be different for institutions of differing types and sizes. We are interested in hearing what would be useful to you for self education, and what information you would like to have in order to educate others on your campus. What would be helpful to you in your advocacy efforts? Are there differences on your campus based on size or type of institution? What information should be present in the toolkit so that you can refer others on your campus to this site? Please reply directly to Karen Williams, [email protected] If there is enough interest, I will summarize responses for the list. Thank you in advance for any thoughts you have to share. -- Karen Williams, Team Leader Undergraduate Services University of Arizona Library [email protected] 520-621-6433
