: is interesting for the way the implementation of 220,000 Ubuntu
desktop in 2,000 schools was sided with training sessions.

* http://opensourceschools.org.uk/node/198 : the benefits section
retakes more or less the argumentation the Education Task Force is
bringing forward.

* In France, a pupil costs yearly 5620€ in average (in 2008) while a
high school student costs 9110€. The gap between that is recognized to
be due to "a different composition of teachers (some teachers in France
get more paid due to a diplom), the greater number of special options
AND the spendings on functionings, namely in technological tracks ..."
(i.e. cost of software and hardware ?)

On a general basis however, finding specific information on software is
very very difficult, even by directly contacting the authorities...
