Re: [needs translation/ needs proofread] SFP episode 26

I have proofread the webpreview, and attach my version.  My file is in .odt
format to get the benefit of highlighting my suggestions with the
LibreOffice Track Changes feature.

Look at my #4, below, for more information about how short the time before
publication actually is.

1.  "In this episode we focus on the 27 million euros cut of funding of the
Next Generation Internet initiative (known as NGI) 27 Million Euro."

(a)  Replace "of" (before "funding") with "from."  English usage.

(b)  I suggest putting a period [full stop] after the parenthetical
phrase.  This makes "27 Million Euro." a new sentence.  Yes, it's
technically a sentence fragment, but we have sentence fragments all the
time in English speech (some as short as "Yes, please", "No, thank you",
and "Goodbye") and they can be used to good effect in even formal English
writing.  An alternative punctuation after the sentence fragment would be
an exclamation point.  Take your pick.

(c)  I have suggested replacing "27 Million Euro" to "27 Million Euros",
but if the singular form is proper usage, please do not adopt this
suggestion.

2.  "As FSFE's Senior Policy Consultant, Alex focuses on the role of Free
Software at the political arena, mainly at the EU level."  Replace "at"
with "in."  English usage.

3.  "Hear more about our efforts to have a continuously funding of Free
Software."  Replace "a continuously" with "continuous."

4.  "If you liked this episode and want to support our continuous work for
software freedom, please help us with a donation."  I was in the process of
making a suggestion that a link would be appropriate here.  But wnen I went
to fsfe.org to find an appropriate link in a previous podcast announcement,
I discovered that what seems to be this notice was already published at
https://fsfe.org/news/podcast/episode-26.en.html "on: 2024-11-19"!  And,
for good measure, there is already a link for donating.  (I have not put
the link into my version of the announcement with my suggestions, nor have
I tried to copy the technical changes I see, such as replacement of the
material at the end that includes XXXX in several places)

My other suggestions are not of great importance, so there is no urgency in
correcting the previously published announcement according to my
proofreading.  I hope that what I have done tonight will be useful to
translators.

Feel free to ignore it, everyone.

Short notice indeed (even without considering that the notice might be
considered to be for a time period of negative duration prior to
publication).  This message was sent from Europe in the early morning of
Saturday, November 23, and arrived here in the eastern United States in the
very, very early morning in my time zone -- just minutes after midnight.
To me, it still feels like Friday night, and here we talk of the time I
have spent on the proofreading as taking place either "Friday night" or in
the earliest hours of Saturday morning.  This is inconsistent, and
sometimes confusing.  The expression "wee hours" is often used because the
numbers are small.  I have no idea whether this (American) English
terminology has analogues in other languages.
