Re: [NL] Events [Update] [Ready to proofread]

Nobody asked me to proofread this, but I have quite a few suggestions for
the items on the Events page that are still in the future.

1.  "On 16 December we will discuss Free Software together."  I suggest
removing "together" as a matter of English usage.  While the word "discuss"
can be used (as in the very next sentence) to indicate a situation in which
only one person is talking, the plural subject of the phrase "we will
discuss" includes the idea of togetherness in the discussion.

2.  'Bonnie Mehring will talk about the "Public Money? Public Code!"
initiative of the Free Software Foundation Europe and shows why "Public
Money? Public Code!" affects more than just public administration.'
Replace "shows" with "show."  English grammar; the subject of the verb is
Bonnie Mehring.

3.  "For it's second year running"  Replace "it's" with "its."  The form
"it's" is a contraction of "it is" or sometimes "it has" [both, a few
sentences later], not the possessive pronoun.

4.  "Travel - Plenty of way to get to Newcastle-under-Lyme town centre"

(a)  Replace "way" with "ways."  (If there are plenty, there must be more
than one way.)

(b)  Insert "the" before "Newcastle-under-Lyme."

5.  "If you're parking then you can either use the Vue cinema park car, or
one of the council ran car parks."

(a)  I suggest removing "then."  While this is not grammatically incorrect,
it is unnecessary, and I think that the sentence reads better without it.

(b)  I suggest replacing "council ran" with "council-run."  (I think that
this is what is intended.)

6.  "38c3- Chaos Communication Congress in Hamburg in Hamburg, Germany"
This last item under "Future events" is a duplicate of the first item under
"Past events."  I have proofread it because I believe that it is properly
listed under "Future events," but it should be removed from "Past events."

7.  "08:0027 December – 16:00 UTC 30 November 2024" I believe that this
date is incorrect in referring to November.  Someone knowledgeable should
check on this and supply correct information if necessary.

8.  "our assembly is for you!."  Remove the period [full stop] after the
exclamation point.
