Dear Translators, Over the past months Sofía (in CC) has worked very hard to implement a new feature for our webpreview tool – Automatic translations! Additionally, Sofía also implemented the option to add Markdown text and convert it to xhtml. # Automatic translation with webpreview For this we are using libretranslate [1]. Everything is deployed and maintained by the FSFE’s system hackers. This adds some additional work for them. Otherwise, we would have relied on other instances and sent our data over to them which raised some data processing and protection questions. Therefore this is the set-up we choose for deploying our own libretranslate instance. For translating with libretranslate: Please, be aware that the translations are far from perfect! They are just an option for you to make the process of translating easier and more convenient. However, they need to be proofread. # Markdown to xhtml This feature should be mainly relevant for staffers and other people who prepare new text or work with docs.fsfe.org (which uses Markdown). You have a editor with the most common settings to add and create Markdown. We look forward to your feedback on the new set-up. Thank you all for your support and help with translating for software freedom!
