Re: translation infrastructure in need

Thanks for being so open and also for keeping up the work for 
translators at the FSFE.

We are currently working very hard on transferring more components of 
our translation efforts to: https://fsfe.org/translators/weblate

However, the po4a does not work very well with our current custom 
infrastructure. If you were willing to help us with this, I am more than 
happy to bring you in contact with our system hacker, Darragh, who wrote 
a script for automating the po file transfer from xhtml.

As the FSFE has a custom build infrastructure you can probably imagine 
that this can be very tedious work to transfer our translation process 
to a new setup. While simultaneously keeping the current setup for 
translating available so that everybody can choose the option they like 
most.

What we have done so far in preparation for providing an alternative 
option to translate at weblate:

- Transferred "Ada & Zangemann" translations to weblate (done by Nico 
Rikken)
- Changed the licence for the FSFE webpage to a well known one 
(CC-BY-SA) and now also one that is available in Weblate to choose for a 
component.

Where we are stuck:

- Ensuring that all our different xhtml files (except for news, events 
and all frequently changed and updated pages) are available as .po files.
- That the translations at weblate are automatically opened as a Pull 
Requests in https://git.fsfe.org/FSFE/fsfe-website/

If you are interested to help here, let me know. Because honestly no 
matter what I tried I was unable to get the po4a working with the xhtml. 
If you know better here, Darragh and I would be very happy for some help!
