He told me about his search idea before it got announced when I pointed 
out how bad the searching was on wikipedia. 18 months on it is still as 
bad. Its much better to use google and add inurl:wikipedia.org. A user 
edited index will have the same problems that Yahoo had, and I'm not 
sure I'd want someone's edited list of information links.

Wikipedia has so much information, but its not stored in the right 
formats. Equations are images, data is in HTML tables etc etc. It could 
be so much better if data was flagged as that, rather than as text mark-up.
