Every meeting we start with an opportunity for informal key signing.

This meeting will be a workshop on patching Linux, the popular kernel.
The workshop will go through setting up your environment so you can
build Linux then compiling Linux, patching Linux, recompiling Linux and
then ultimately submitting these patches.

If you wish to follow along with the workshop then you'll need to have
some things set up beforehand:

* GNU/Linux OS; this can be a VM.
** This is to install the build environment and build in.

* Installed with the following tools:
** Git - `apt install git`
** Vim - `apt install vim`
*** OR text editor that you're familiar with including ctags
** Ctags - `apt install exuberant-ctags`
** C compiling toolchain - `apt install build-essential`

* Cloned Linux and fetched linux-next as described in:
** https://www.kernel.org/doc/man-pages/linux-next.html
*** About 1.1 GB download and about 2.3 GB on disk

* Email account for submitting patches

and have a Plan B.

There are paid parking lots around the venue, they are marked by a blue

In some of the side streets in the venue surrounding area there are
parking meter bays that become zero cost after 8pm on Tuesday so you
will have to pay up until then and the maximum stay is 2 hours BUT MAKE
SURE YOU VERIFY ALL THIS on parking.  This is probably only a good
option if you know the area.
