RE: Completed Cores and UClinux Porting

Sounds Great Mike.
 
We need to make the prototype as simple as possible for the first
version.
The OR1200 is now implemented on the FPGA based board. For your
information , the SOPC board provided from Altera has many interfaces
like RS232, JTAG, ...PS2... etc.. most of the required interfaces to
peripherals.

Now, Let us set steps one by one ( trying to be simple as possible) to
construct our based OpenRisc platform for the PDA 

Jamil has the OR1200 synthesized on the provided FPGA. 
The Board also has varieties of memories.

I need you Mike to work with us to assign the easy steps to construct
the system ( I am very much pleased that you have attended the Demo
sessions of Lampret in California ) so u can provide some useful
guidelines.

What you have mentioned in the e-mail is very matching with what I have
in mind for implementation ( let us take it so easy and simple, then
improve )working with (Release early, release often ) ....

All of us should follow the information provided in Mike e-mail :
In my point of view ; this is the shortest and easiest way to get our
first version of OFOQ working so soon ...

Jamil, please provide us with the status of implemented components on
the SOPC of Altera.

Mike, as a first step; Would u suggest starting with
porting(downloading) the uclinux to the flash memory (as Lampret had
done in his demo). It seems there is a way that we can download the
kernel using the available JTAG and/or other suitable interface to
achieve it .
