The toolchain port page lists all the modules you need.
(http://www.opencores.com/projects/or1k/GNU%20Toolchain%20Port).  Technically 
speaking I guess you don't need the simulator or GDB package, but untill we 
have something physical working I'm assuming everyone will use them.  The total
set of source packages (binutils, gcc, gdb, or1ksim, uclibc, uclinux) takes up
about 300 meg after download.  But if you use the instructions on that page to
do the download (in particular using the -z9 option to your cvs client) the 
requests will be compressed on the network.  That means you don't have to do a 
300 meg download to get the source, it's somewhere closer to about 70 meg of 
bandwidth I think.  The gcc3-1 package is 162 meg on disk, but only exchanges 
as about 23.5 meg of compressed transfer.
