Just a small comment.
The NNTP server is one way, it means you will be able to read only, but not to 
post.
Second, the NNTP obfuscates the email addresses, so you won't get something 
useful if you want to get some contacts.

Last, the NNTP is not so reliable, I discovered that not everything get 
through.

However, we might get our web based archive soon, I wish.
