Thanks Soban for the answer. 
Do u mean that it could be useful to store some information about the
system in this EEPROM like which processor is embedded , the LCD used,
Keyboard/mouse.. 128 bytes of data would be used for some useful
information (like a tag for the system).. Next , how could we program
this EEPROM .. I mean would we be able to program it through our system
OR1k processor after getting the memory controller or is there any other
methods to program the SPD EEPROM core on the SDRAM ..
give me an example of a practical example of data that u have stored in
128 bytes in SPD and how u wrote them to it ..
