It gives instructions for linux as : 

Linux x86 
1. Download the file from the link above. 
2. Move the downloaded file into your home directory. 
3. Ungzip/untar it in that location. 
4. Move the mulberry executable file to a suitable location 
   on your executable path. 
5. Run the mulberry executable. 

That assumes that its reader knows what's a suitable location, how to spot
the executable (with "file mulberry.xyz??) -- and a perennial pet peeve,
how to invoke it.

None of that is in the release notes nor the FAQ. Is it anywhere?
